INSU-FOAM ULTRA

Most GRUBS® Rubber footwear features INSU-FOAM ULTRA bootie constructiona waterproof, self-insulating layer that performs better than traditional waterproof membranes and insulation.

Made of Chloroprene (used in deep sea dry suits) with 300% stretch, it is bonded with a 4-way stretch nylon jersey and SUPER-DRI terry knit lining for moisture control.

The fine micro-cellular structure stops heat transfer and remains waterproof even at 3.5mm thickness. It offers a compression set under 7%, compared to 2025% in typical neoprene boots, ensuring longer-lasting softness and comfort.

Competitors use SBR foam, which hardens over time and is more prone to leaking due to larger, irregular bubble structure.

5.0 TECHNOLOGY

The bootie is lined with SUPER-DRI terry knit for dryness and comfort. It stretches 100% to fit most calf sizes. The INSU-FOAM ULTRA maintains temperature neutrality, keeping feet comfortable from 85ºF to sub-zero for extended periods.

TRAX Sole

The TRAX outsole, made of DURAPRENE rubber and HEXZORB inserts, provides multi-zone tractionoptimized for grip, stability, and braking aligned with natural foot movement.
