Denier Guide
When the product details list a Denier number, it refers to the thickness of the yarn strands used in the rug's base fabric. For example, a 600 Denier fabric means each strand weighs 600g per 9000 meters.
Rugs are made from 600D, 1200D, or 1680D fabric—the higher the number, the thicker and stronger the weave. A 1200 Denier rug will generally cost 15% more than a 600 Denier rug, but its added durability makes it a better investment for horses that tend to damage their rugs.
