In the lower cost price points a synthetic boot material or the boot upper is made from a synthetic material to keep cost down in these ranges, but that does not mean you will find the boot performance is lowered dramatically. Lower cost boots may just not last quite as long as a more expensive boot. For the higher priced boots more expensive materials are used throughout the boot and a greater amount of hand laid boot making craftsmanship will have been used to complete the boot as designed for the brand the boot represents.
