The Myler MB36 Forward-Tilt Ported Barrel has a ¾ inch port angled forward 45 degrees and allowing Independent side movement. The bit acts on the lips and bars; and on the tongue when additional rein pressure is applied. The MB36 gives tongue relief when there is only very light contact, but it does act on the tongue with a stronger contact. When used in the fixed rein position using the hooks the bit exerts a down ward pressure over the tongue area but still allowing it room to accommodate the tongue comfortably. The small Loops on the top of the bit rings are an additional option to use a curb chain making the bit much more capable of exerting a larger overall amount of pressure while spreading the load so that the horse gets the message without there being an over concentration of pressure in one particular area of the mouth or the associated facial pressure points. It works well for horses with a low palate and limited room for a port profile bit.

Can be used more mildly without fixing the reins to the hook positions taking away any degree of downward pressure or using them to exert a greater degree of mouth pressure.
